Colour boost 18 months after initial session is considered a NEW treatment
Permanent Makeup Pigments are meant to fade over time. "Colour Boost" procedures are for clients who have had previous tattooing completed by Jacqui Ktytor Permanent Makeup Studio and need a refresher application of pigment to brighten their colour.
"Colour Boost" should not be confused with "Follow-up" visits. "Follow-up" visits occur within 6-8 weeks of initial application. "Colour Boost" refers to additional applications of permanent makeup due to colour fade 6 months after the competition of the final "Follow-up"
The rate of pigment fade and the frequency of "Colour Boost" vary from client to client depending on their skin type (oily or dry), lifestyle, and age of skin. There are many factors that may expedite pigment to fade such as :
-
Sun exposure
-
Dry skin will retain pigment longer than oily skin
-
Brunettes (darker/cooler pigment) tend to fade slower than Blondes (lighter/warmer) colours
-
Retinol, exfoliant, skin lighteners/brightener products
-
Laser treatment
